My brother has one of those plastic climber things in his back yard for the kids. My three year old niece was standing on the top, looking down at the spot in the grass the climber had been before my brother moved it over about 2 feet. From her perch, my niece said, “Daddy, that’s a triangle!”
Seriously? What a genius. That kids amazes me with her brains.
I looked at my brother and began to convey this to him, as if he didn’t already know the miracle that is his daughter.
“Your kid is smart.” As I spoke the sentence, Lovie, who was trying to climb UP the slide with her hands full of toys, tumbled backward and into a heap at the bottom of the slide.
My brother: “Your kid? Not so much…”
